David Bellamy Conservation Award

Towards the end of May we had our David Bellamy Conservation Award Inspection here at St Margarets 🐿️🏡

We have now received the report, which was very positive about our conservation and recycling practices we have in place, and confirmation that we have completed our 2026 Blooming Marvellous Pledge For Nature Challenge which was “Rewilding”

To the side of the recycle area we created a wild area leaving the grass to grow wild, building a bug hotel, bird tables and installing a bird bath. Although the challenge is completed it will be an ongoing and ever changing wildlife area and we are really pleased that we have spotted hedgehogs in this area 🦔🦋🌸

We have now completed 5 Challenges in 5 years 🐿️
